Yoga means yoke. It joins the mind, body, and soul, which helps to relieve stress and promote health. Regular practice improves breathing , increases strength and helps with flexibility for everyday life. It also promotes mindfulness.
Take some time out for yourself. Focus and find clarity.
Welcome to Yoga with Tracey
I first discovered yoga over 20 years ago, but could not find the time to commit to regular classes, and found my busy life taking over until I eventually stopped practising altogether.
A few years passed and I found I had more time to spare which gave me the opportunity to pick up yoga again.
I searched online for my nearest studio and booked myself into a class. It felt good to be back doing yoga again. I tried different classes and enjoyed the different styles they had to offer.
Eventually, I found myself wanting to learn more about yoga and the effects it has on the body and mind.
This is when I decided to enrol myself on to a yoga teacher training course with Yoga London.
I had no actual thoughts of teaching yoga at this point, only to learn more to help my family and myself, but the more I learnt the more I felt I would like to share its benefits.
My passion is to help others, which led me to enrol on a Yoga for Breast Cancer course and more recently I completed Yoga for Cancer teacher training. I know first hand the benefits of doing yoga while on this journey and how much it has helped me.
I am now looking forward to guiding people back to fitness through gentle yoga, breathing and meditation.
Don't worry if you think you are not flexible or strong enough, trust me, that will come in time.
Yoga is all about Pranayama (breathing), the Asana (poses) are secondary.
In yoga there is no judgement, it is very much inclusive and you grow at your own pace.
